Gea Stanger was a past President of the Twin Cities Alumnae chapter, and a collegiate member of the Epsilon Rho Chapter. Gea was a woman of honor and upheld the standards in which our Sorority was founded. Gea left her Corporate job to return to Mankato State University (MSU) to obtain her Masters in Student Development and continued to pass her leadership onto thousands of students on MSU's campus and several campuses nationwide. It was her dream to help students develop in the best they can be and prepare them for their road ahead. She led from the heart, touching the lives and hearts of anyone she came in contact. Gea passed away unexpectedly in April of 2002.
In her memory, the Twin Cities Alumnae Chapter developed an award to identify a collegiate Sigma that portrays the leadership characteristics that our Sorority was founded and can carry on the spirit of Gea.
